Bonfils Blood Center Chooses Data393 As Managed Infrastructure Provider
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Oct. 9, 2006 - Data393, a leading Colorado managed IT infrastructure provider, announced today that it has signed an agreement to provide Bonfils Blood Center in Colorado with Data393’s Metro Area Ethernet connectivity and colocation services through Data393’s facility in the Denver Tech Center.
This agreement allows Bonfils to leverage the consistently available infrastructure that they require as they communicate with their nine community donor facilities and more than 200 healthcare facilities in Colorado and beyond.
“We needed to expand our bandwidth to the Internet and to colocate key servers as part of our disaster recovery plan,” said Mark Thompson, chief information officer and Bonfils senior vice president. “Data393 has allowed us to do both with a single, integrated, cost-effective solution.”
Data393’s Metro Area Ethernet service allows companies such as Bonfils to take advantage of dedicated Internet access with speeds up to 100 megabits per second without the expense associated with traditional dedicated telco circuits. At the same time, Data393’s SAS70 Type II facility delivers Bonfils a secure, reliable location to house its disaster recovery equipment.
“We are honored to have the trust and confidence of one of Colorado’s most valuable and treasured organizations and truly appreciate their support,” said Data393 Vice President of Sales and Co-Founder Erik Porter. “Our infrastructure should be a valuable asset to Bonfils, one of the pre-eminent blood centers in the nation.”
